ECOHYDROLOGICAL PROBLEMS OF KUR DEPRESSION LAKES AND MAIN PRINCIPLES OF THEIR REGULATION
This book content covers issues such as changes occurred to lakes in Kür Depression due to anthropogenic impact on them and finding solutions to eventual environmental and geographical challenges. Analysis of hydrological, hydrochemical and hydrobiological data series indicate that with the regulation of flow in Kür, Araz and their tributaries natural flow regime of lakes have been disturbed. Subsequently, there has been decrease in their quantity, area and water volume with salt content and pollution level being increased.
A pattern of changes and their parameters are shown in this book. Here the ways how to restore ecological balance of huge lakes and use of resources in an efficient manner are being addressed by employing constructive techniques. This book is written for experts and specialists in the field of hydrology, ecology, hydrobiology, hydrochemistry and hydraulic structures.
