THE RESULTS OF CARRIED OUT MAGNETOSTRATIGRAPHIC STUDIES ON ABSHERON PENINSULA WERE DISCUSSED DURING NEXT ASSEMBLY OF THE COUNCIL OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS

Young scientists and specialists of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS were held next assembly. Assemblywas held under the chairmanship of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, Ph.D. in Earth Sciences, Associate Professor Orhan Abbasov,the conclusive research results on "Magnetostratigraphic studies of Absheron and Akchagyl deposits on the Absheron Peninsula" were discussed.
The employee of the Department of Modern geodynamics and space geodesy, Master of first Degree Ruslan Aslanov gavethe report. Aslanov spoke about the difficulties of stratigraphic separation by the paleontologic method due to fauna lack in the deposits in the studied region. The young specialist got up to speed onthe results of his research to assembly’s members.
