Geologists from Azerbaijan and Russia will jointly study the petroleum potential of the Caucasus
Geologists from Azerbaijan and Russia will perform the joint investigations to study the modern geodynamics of the Caucasus.
The cooperation agreement in the present field had been signed by director of Geology Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Akif Alizade, and the drector of Geology Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Mikhail Fedinkon, as Trend agency was informed in Geology Institute of ANAS.
The joint studies will reveal the recent state of volcanoes and geodynamic processes in the region as well as the hydrocarbon potential at depth of 7-14 km, subsurface rivers using GIS.
The conference dedicated to scientific studies in the Caucasus had been organized in Geology Institute of RAS.
