A YOUNG SCIENTIST FROM AZERBAIJAN TOOK PART IN THE INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR, HELD IN KYRGYZSTAN

The international seminar on the theme: "Science, governmental structures and society - joint efforts to mitigate the risks and consequences of earthquakes" was held in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) on October 11-12, 2017. Representatives from 28 countries: Great Britain, Germany, Russia, Japan, China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, the Philippines, South Korea and other countries took part at this seminar, co-organized by the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Association of Academies of Societies and Sciences in Asia (AASSA) in Kyrgyzstan.
Muradi Imran, employee of the Department of Seismology and Seismic hazards of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS represented our country. I. Muradi made a presentation on the topic: "Seismic hazard assessment for Absheron peninsula based on probability theory" at the "Seismic Hazard and Risk" section seminar. The report of the young scientist aroused much interest.
Scientists discussed current problems of Earth sciences, origin, causes and forecasting of earthquakes. Famous professors such as James Jackson, Morteza Talebian, Massimiliano Pittore and others considered the results and then they proposed collaboration in order to development of seismology.
The main aim of the international seminar is to unite all researchers of earth sciences, as well as the problem solution of earthquakes forecasting and mitigation of consequences.
